DR DEAN McCLELLAND
Dr. McClelland (or “Dr Dean” as many his patients call him), considers it a wonderful privilege to be a chiropractor!
From his early teenage years growing up in Calgary, Dr. Dean has been fascinated by the complexity and amazing natural healing ability of the human body. It was this keen interest in human anatomy and physiology, which led Dr. Dean to pursue his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Trinity Western University from 1993-1997.
After taking a year off from academic pursuits to teach English in South Korea for 6 months, Dr. Dean headed to Toronto to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) from 1998 to 2002.
Shortly after graduation, Dr. Dean had the opportunity to work closely with the Canada Post Corporation as an on-site chiropractor for two of the largest mail sorting facilities in Canada.
In 2006, Dr Dean founded the Lighthouse Chiropractic Centre in Aurora, which he successfully operated for 10 years.
In the early winter of 2016, Dr Dean joined forces with good friend and colleague, Dr. Craig Dingman, and co-founded Elevate Chiropractic Centre in Aurora, ON in February of 2016.
Dr. Dean is married to his best friend Caroline, and is the proud dad of his three beautiful girls, Holly, Jillian and Claire.
When out of the office, Dr. Dean can be found playing electric guitar, sweating like crazy on a mountain bike, or cheering for his favourite teams such as the Calgary Flames, the Toronto Raptors and of course, the Toronto Blue Jays!
ADVANCED MUSCLE INTEGRATION TECHNIQUE
Many patients describe AMIT (Advanced Muscle Integration Technique) as a truly remarkable system of assessment, treatment and injury prevention. The goal of AMIT is to identify muscles which are "inhibited" from working properly and "turn them back on" to proper function. Patients describe consistent results with many conditions such as back pain, shoulder pain, chronic neck pain, tennis elbow and many other conditions with AMIT treatments.
